Your students are invited to participate in Singfest 2021.
Singfest is an annual massed choral event for state school
primary students from years 4-6 and
secondary students from years 7-12 in the Metropolitan region. Over 1,500 students participate in this event each year from state primary schools across the region.
Singfest is a
1-day workshop and concert. There are multiple days on offer to choose from.
Individual schools register for Singfest and have their choir/s learn the Singfest repertoire. Schools choose their date and venue preference when registering and this is confirmed prior to the event.
On the day of the event, each school comes together to workshop the repertoire in a massed choir of all the schools present on the day, culminating in a concert at 5.15pm. This performance is an exciting opportunity for young vocalists. Singfest will be especially useful for students in schools with smaller choirs or singing groups.
Please note: Students will be expected to know the performance pieces from memory before their Singfest day. Teachers will be expected to supervise fully until the very end of the evening.
Cost and GST information
The cost is
$15 per student—$14.01 non-GST-applicable plus $0.99 GST-applicable ($0.90 plus $0.09 GST) for food.
Schools will be invoiced for the number of students participating
before the event. Schools attending will need to ensure they provide adequate supervision of students at all times including lunch breaks as well as before and after the concert.
