Met Sec Central and West 2021
The MRC Secondary ensembles workshops (Met Sec) allow students from within Metropolitan region to participate in a variety of ensemble experiences with leading guest conductors across a short period of rehearsal. In a 1-day workshop with a concert at the conclusion of the day.
Students need to nominate through their instrumental teacher and are nominated online after returning a medical form to their teacher. They will be notified of their success and placement after this nomination process closes.
Students are responsible for bringing their own instruments and equipment. Keyboard and drum kit will be provided for big band and bass stools will be provided for orchestra.
Students will be expected to bring all other equipment including amps etc. to the Old Museum building. All transport to and from the venue is the responsibility of the individual students.
Students may only participate in one ensemble per workshop, but are able to nominate for a first and second preference of ensemble. Students may also nominate and participate in both Met Sec Central and Met Sec West if they wish.
