Caters for	Beginner Instrumental Music students on violin, viola, cello and double bass from Geebung State School, Bald Hills State School, Everton Park State School, Norris Road State School, Sandgate State School and Shorncliffe State School (strings only)
Event type	1-day non-residential workshop for primary students intended to give them an intensive start to learning their instrument
Entry	Open to all primary students at the participating schools who are starting a string instrument through their school Instrumental Music Program
Date	Tuesday 9 February 2021
Venue	Geebung State School
Activities	Small group tutorials with specialists teachers and tutors

Caters for	Primary instrumental students in their second year of studying a string instrument
Event type	2 x 2-day non-residential workshop culminating in a concert
Entry	Via online nomination by Instrumental Music teachers
Dates	Monday 31 May and Tuesday 1 June—Aspley State School Wednesday 2 June and Thursday 3 June—Windsor State School
Venues	Your child will be told which venue they need to attend
Activities	Small group tutorials, large ensemble rehearsals, massed choir and physical education
Concert	Concert will be on the final day of each workshop and is free entry.

Caters for	Instrumental Music students in their first year of playing a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument (including bass guitar). Year 4 as per the school program.
Event type	1-day non-residential workshop
Entry	Via online registration through Instrumental Music teachers
Dates	31 May—Stafford Heights State School 1 June—Windsor State School 2 June—Aspley State School 3 June—Aspley State School or Virginia State School 4 June—Bracken Ridge State High School
Venues	Your child will be told which venue they need to attend
Activities	Large ensemble rehearsals
Concert	At the end of each workshop day. Entry is free.

Information	Details
Caters for	Advanced primary instrumental music students who study a woodwind, brass, percussion or string instrument in their school Instrumental Music Program
Event type	3-day non-residential workshop culminating in a concert. Students are placed in 2 main ensembles and guest conductors and Instrumental Music teachers work with the students over 3 days before presenting a showcase concert on the final day.
Entry	Via online nomination and selection via DVD audition by a panel of Instrumental Music teachers
Dates	19–21 October 2021
Venue	Old Museum Building
Activities	Large ensemble rehearsals and massed choir
Concert	Entry to the concert is free
